BC Ministry of Education Graduation Requirements

In order to meet graduation requirements and be awarded a British Columbia Certificate of Graduation (Dogwood Diploma), students must earn a minimum of 80 credits. These must include 48 credits for required courses, a minimum of 28 elective credits, and 4 credits for Graduation Transitions.

Apprenticeship and Trades

Apprenticeship training is divided into two components:

1. In-class learning (through the ACE IT program)

2. Practical, hands-on training (through the Secondary School Apprenticeship program)

It’s possible to be enrolled in both of these training programs at the same time.
